Chelsea v Tottenham |
|
OK Ladies and Gents, what do you think the score will be?
No, no, no; I'll try again. How many goals will we lose by? I reckon by a couple of goals. I can't see us scoring because Chelsea are rock solid in defence and Bent is desperately lacking support. The only way I can see us sneaking any kind of result is if Berba plays, but I don't think he will. To be frank, I'm almost more worried about how many we'll lose by rather than whether we actually will. We'll need some big big performances all over the park but I can only see this going one way I'm afraid to say. 2-0 Chelsea. |

My head says 4-0, my heart says 2-1. Either way I'm not looking forward to it.

I'm dreading this game, but in another perverted way really looking forward to it - remember West Ham at The Emirates? Absolutely pummelled to a pulp for 99% of the match, yet somehow walked away with a 1-0 win...
...you just never know! |

I can see the chels even putting 3 past the yids. I think Spurs will be far to lightweght in midfield and the class of Chelsea is going to be way to much. I think if Drogba was playing it would be even worse for Tottenham. They can thank their lucky stars for that.
I really hope I am wrong and Spurs force an upset but I can not see it happening what so ever. 3-0 unfortunately. |

What do you mean Ramos is too basic? Ramos has out smarted countless big guns in the past, with far greater quality than he possessed. |

Ramos has done nothing to impress me so far from what i have seen of his contribution to the Tottenham cause. a defeat today would mean Spurs' worst EVER premier League start. as well all know Time began the day the Premier League was born so by default it would be Spurs' worst start since Triceratops and the like roamed the plains of Patagonia. he has lost almost as much as he has won (won 19, lost 12) since taking charge so that is hardly dazzling is it. do you think Ramos will pull off a victory then? feel free to comment in the yid top 4 thread about your views on the great man. |

No Berbatov according to SSN.

there is no way berbatov should be anywhere near the squad.
even Greasy Ramos can not be that foolish |

No. Chelsea will probably win. Altohugh i wouldn't count out something of a surprise.
Looking into Ramos' record a little further - many of those defeats were after the Carling cup final, when it was clear many players were leaving and with UEFA up football assured, they had nothing to play for, and as a result, many put minimal effort in. Which Ramos can be blamed for to some extent. Other than his Carling cup heroics, i agree he hasn't been impressive. But let's not forget what an amazing job he did at Sevilla. You don't win 6 trophies in 2 and half years, if you're a basic, run-of-the-mill manager. |

he can be blamed entirely. how you can put even part of that blame on anybody else is a complete mystery. i dont follow spanish football. i will simply take his record as i see it, which is in england. as far as im aware those two leagues are entirely different in terms of tactics, style and tempo. |

I think this will be a close game and Tottenham fans should have a bit more faith in the good players they have.
I still think Chelsea will come out on top though as there playing just like Brazil which makes a nice change to see! I think Juande Ramos will be a success in English football but just needs time as he showed with Sevilla in La Liga. He has been foolish though selling Jermaine Defoe,Robbie Keane and any moment soon Dimitar Berbatov...Thats crazy. My prediction.....Chelsea 2 - 1 Tottenham |

Darren Bent for England

my prediction of Chelsea 1-0 won't last as i see it ,i see at least a goal each from now on. Where's J.cole? exactly what i said about him in big games ,but this is Spurs not top four so i expect him to step it up
Dos Santos has surprised me me with his play,i really didn't rate him at Barca ,but he seems to be doing quite well in this tougher league,he and zokora looks like Spurs main threat so far. I thought this for quite a while but never opined on it ,but i think Spurs main issue is Jenas ,i tink he commands more respect than he deserves in the middle of the park from his teammates and should take a step back and let the more creative and imaginative players like Modric handle things. There it is Spurs goal ,lucky as hell but still the goal i was expecting. 2-1 Chelsea i think. |

Ok First half Chelsea have been there better team but not by alot. There goal was lucky Bent should of cleared. Our goal was extremely lucky but confident finish by Bent. Zokora has been hot and COld has done some really impressive things, but has also mis-places quite a few passes. Bale and Gunter have looked very good. Gunter is so much better at right back than Zokora. Bentley has shown some good energy but hasnt really got a target in the box as every time he has had a chance to cross Bent has been out on the wing giving him the ball to cross it in. Could be a good partnership with Bentley on the wing crossing it in to Pavlyuchenko.
Graham Roberts thinks we will sign Corluka and one other, he said this before his commentary on this game. The only problem is he doesnt know how to pronounce peoples names properly. Like he said we are intrested in Velasa. |

Well if he didn't win the Carling cup, then the players would've continued to work hard for the rest of the season. He can be credited, entirely for them being in the UEFA cup and winning the Carling cup. I've just remembered how much he has improved them against the top 4. They beat Arsenal, and Chelsea last season, as well as getting draws against Man U (twice i believe) and Chelsea and Arsenal. That's more than Spurs did under Jol. However, he has completely dismantled Tottenham's greatest weapon - their attack. Selling Defoe was a bad move. He couldn't turn the Keane offer down, and it's not his fault Berbs wants out, but still. |

He was class against Spurs last season. If this is the type of game you consider as a big game then you can not say he doesnt perform in them. He was amazing at White Heart Lane last season and ripped Spurs apart and scored two good goals. Not bad in a big game if you ask me.
I have always rated Dos Santos. he has done ok so far. Not reallt done to much, but he is young and in a new league so taking that into account he can be pleased with how he is playing against one of the worlds best teams. Spurs started very well. Tired to go at Chelsea which I think is a good way to play against them as they dont like being pressured. Deco is a prime example of this. He is used to having time on the ball and when he is put under pressure he has been making mistakes. However, I cant help but feel that Chelsea have about 4 more gears to go up. They are sort of just crusing along so far. The Spurs defence has not really been put under much pressure. Like I said earlier, if drogba was playing I think Chelsea would be far more dangerous. I feel sorry for Bent. He is so stranded up top. I can understand why they have started like this. Not only because they dont have another forward, lol, but also because they want to try and match Chelsea in the middle of the park. But that is also going to mean that as soon as Spurs clear the ball Bent can do [beep!] all about it and the ball is just going to come straight back at Spurs. |
