After Theo Walcotts star display for England in midweek will Arsene Wenger drop him to the subs bench?!

Can Blackburn restore some pride after losing their last game away at the Hammers 4-1 or will Arsenal be to good for them?

How do you all see this game going?

I think Theo deserves a spot on the starters after that impressive outing for the country ,but don't expect the same performance. He should be rewarded for his showing because that's how you develop young players and build their confidence.
I feel this game will be a bit of a physical affair though and that's not good for Theo in particular.
I see Arsenal winning 2-0 ,but it may be ugly and they may end up with at least two injuries when all is done.

I'm seeing maybe a potential shock here, Blackburn have looked surprisingly fairly decent and organised for the most part under Ince as far this season, and at times Arsenal have been most noticeably off the pace.

I'm going to stick my neck out and go 2-1 to Blackburn.

I don't think Walcott will get the start here. Blackburn are a physical team and even more physical when they play at home. Wenger will most likely stick Eboue in that spot for two reasons: 1, Eboue is more physical/stronger than Walcott; 2, Wenger seems to like Eboue a lot for some odd reason that I have yet to put my finger on.

I'm also among those who think Walcott won't start this match. Blackburn aways is not an easy game at all particularly for us. They've traditionally intimidated us with physical play. Although we've improved in combating the opponents physical play, it'll still be a very tough game and I won't be surprised if we take only one point from this game. I think Arsenal won't lose this game under normal circumstances but we'll have to wait and see.

Personally I'll go with a 1-2 score.

if you've watched eboue this season ,it should answer that for you. he's been one of Arsenals best players so far ,not that anyone would like to admit it after trashing him for so long. The only problem i have with putting Eboue in this game is because of the physicality of what might transpire.Eboue being one of the more volatile and less diplomatic when arguing a point is a red card waiting to happen. Maybe wenger should play Diaby instead as he has a more laid back demeanor.

Diaby is still out injured(Thigh injury).

Our Injury list as of Yesterday: Silvestre, Diaby, Rosicky, Eduardo and Nasri.

The extent of Nasri's injury is not clear it seems. He missed France's clash against Serbia. It sayd he'll be assesed late. So He's a bit of a doubt for today's match I think...

i doubt walcott will get the full 90 anyway.

is it just me going against the grain or does anyone else agree that Walcott didnt actually play THAT well the other day? i mean sure he bagged three which can only be praiseworthy but those chances and the time he had would never have happened in the premier league.

im firmly on wengers side with him. he is very basic with regards to simple touches and control. he has an awful lot to learn. how old is he? 19 ? he should really be mastering the art of tenchique and the like by now. i feel that if he were to get a muscle injury or some kind of serious injury that nicks a bit of pace off of him he could end up very very basic.

His strength without a doubt is his pace, he still has a lot to learn yes. But he managed to complete 16 out of 20 passes the other night apparently. I don't think he was blinding. If hadn't of got the goals it would have been a different story but you also have to credit his composure and the way he finished, it was good to see.

It's seems this season Wenger has decided to give him more of a chance but in the games he's played I haven't been overly impressed, especially against Fulham. He was awful.

I believe he's a player we should use to come on maybe mid second half to run at defenders. I think he'll come good, I reckon it's more a question of his confidence than his ability.

I see a draw on that one. Walcott won't start for me because he has played two games in quick succession and I am not sure his body can handle an extra 90 minutes yet.
I haven't seen Blackburn play but they can't be worse than under Hughes where all they were doing is mainly kicking players when I saw them play live 3 or 4 times Shocked

Good scoreline to take at HT. Blackburn indeed had their chances but couldn't put the ball into the net. Denilson is good going forward, but not so sure about his defending. Will be an interesting and entertaining 2nd half I hope...

My bet is Walcott will get a muscle injury today if he is not subbed.

4-0 Arsenal FT. Adebayor hatrick. Ramsey and Wilshire made their debuts today. It was from Ramsey's through ball that Adebayor got his hatrick goal. Great performance from Arsenal and I'm very very happy by that. Well played guys...

I must say that Walcott run was immense ,absolutely immense. He dusted like 4 players and just about thread the ball through to Van Persie. Iv'e been saying all along that he's not a starter ,but of the recent international he deserved the start. He is definitely moving in the right direction though.
Soul destroying defeat for Blackburn ,have to be tough to rebound from this one.

Eboue has become a much better player this year in regards to his passing and decision making and even his shot taking. However, he's still not my first choice on the squad. I still feel that he's better suited as a backup to Sagna at RB and a backup in midfield if we get hit really hard with injuries in that department. There are quite a few players I would play in front of Eboue in midfield. Rosicky (when healthy), Diaby (when healthy), Denilson, Walcott to name just a couple.

Nasri was out injured. That's why Walcott started on the left, but then moved over to the right after the break.
