Shaun Cooper has signed a contract extension which keeps him at Bournemouth until the summer of 2008.
The versatile Isle of Wight-born 22-year-old made 40 league and cup appearances last season, featuring in defence and midfield.
He had already signed an 18-month deal in January which tied him to the Cherries until 2007 - after been targeted by Championship side QPR.
However, defender Adam Griffiths is now unlikely to be offered a new deal.
The 26-year-old Australian made seven appearances for Bournemouth last season after joining on a short-term deal in January, following his release by Watford - but has now returned to his homeland.
