A mate of mine just posted this to me: it’s believed to be the plans for our new Stadium.

I've been to the Emirates twice now (to see a decent team - I saw Brazil play) and it is indeed a very fine Stadium.

All the boxes are ticked apart from two things: there's no atmosphere and there's still no trophies Laughing Wink

Laughing Fair enough.

To be honest, a lad at work e-mailed me the link and I posted it on here immediately - I don't know the validity of the source.

I take it you do though? It is all bullsh1t then?

Apparently it was made by an architect on a forum just using some of his own ideas.

OK, this source is far more reliable: it's from the Club website:

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/uploads/assets/docstore/Booklet_Web.pdf

Looking at those plans, it does look like a bowl design. However, these are just very early drawings so they couls change.

The idea is to knock the Paxton Road end down during the close season and complete the new Stadium. The key thing here is that it means we don't have to relocate during construction.

They haven't actually designed it yet though, Joey mate. If you listen to what Levy says on the free Spurs TV Sample he says he has just told the architects what he wants. Well I think thats what he means.

Yeah I know mate, hence why I said I wouldn't read too much into the actual picture.

As long as the Stadium is at least 60,000 capacity and is enclosed all round, then I'm happy.

I don't understand? can Spurs fill 60,000? i'm not saying they can't, i just dont know. I'm basing the club thats won the leauge cup last season and then again 10 years before that?

[Edit: Watch your langauge please - Big Jono] is there that amount of fans willing to wait 10 years each time to win the Carling Cup?

Pokey you are just showing yourself up for a gloryhunter asking why would anyone support spurs if we only won one trophy in ten years. Spurs is a very well supported club despite its lack of recent success, even if that success is more recent than yours.

I don't think I'm showing myself up. I just wonder why people are queuing up to see Tottenham Hotspur? It's not as if the football is fantastic or you've won two doubles in 11 years.

I'm just begging the question.

Bless ya, Pokes!!

Spurs were the most entertaining team last season, FACT. Our games had more goals than any other team, bar none. Win or lose, the crowd at White Hart Lane are nearly always given their money's worth. Throw into the mix that we've qualified for Europe for the past three seasons, we've had two top 5 finishes, and we won the League Cup, then the fans can't complain.

Also, after the top four, we are by some distance the biggest supported Club in the country. We have 70,000 members with a season ticket waiting list of over 20,000, so filling the stadium will be easy. And it's remarkable that we can get 60,000 given that we haven't even had Champions' League football at White Hart Lane.

If Arsenal weren't in the Champions' League their stadium would be half empty, just like it is after about 70 minutes on match days - half of them would rather beat the rush than watch the team! Laughing

as far as i know there has not been any plans or anything official submitted.

it will be a very long and difficult process for Spurs to remain in the same place because of the area it is. it already has, and will continue to, cost you a fortune.
