Newcastle v Boro |
|
Not one to cause trouble ,but wanted to comment on the incredibly idiotic decision by the manager of Newcastle to sub martins rather than Owen who has just off an lengthy injury. Is there anyone out there who can intelligently defend this decision.Oba was clearly angry by that ,and stomped straight down the tunnel. Let's hope he's finally come to the conclusion that he will never be respected as much as owen and that as long as Owen is standing he will always be first choice.

I'm sure Joe Kinnear must have had a valid reason for bringing off Martins instead of Owen.....
Maybe he thought by sending on Mark Viduka it would give them a different attacking option? If the score is only 0-0 and your playing at home with 15 mins left you have to try what ever you can to get that crucial winning goal Martins has apologised for the way he over reacted in being subsituted and admited he made a mistake............ |

I watched large portions of this game and I would have reacted the same as Martins. He was working so hard and every attacking move he was involved in. He looked most likely to score or to make a goal for Newcastle. Rubbish substitution by Kinnear.

I don't know why he apologized it was a stupid substitution. You mean to tell me you are trying to win a game and you put up front 2 players that have played about 4 games between then in the last year? That's inept. Martin's works his butt off the entire game , get's no decent service and is subbed, when Owen offered absolutely nothing the entire game from my recollection.Anyway i'm over it ,same ........., different toilet! |
