St James Park has never been an easy place for
the Hammers to pick up 3 points and its been a long time since we last won there.

West Ham go into this tough away fixture in a good run of form winning their last 3 games
Even Carlton Cole has hit 3 goals in 3 games to keep his critics at bay for the time being.......

Newcastle lost their last home game in the league 1-5 to Liverpool and will be looking
for a big improvement however they will be missing several key players through injury and bans.

How do you see this game going?

Can the Hammers continue their good run with an away win and take advantage of the home sides problems?

Or will this tough away trip prove to be to much and Newcastle should triumph despite their many absentees?

I fancy a 1-1 draw and our unbeaten run to continue.........

could be goodgame this one after being walloped 5-1 at home the other week I certainly can't see Newcastle playing as badly again and I expect a much improved performance who score the first goal could be vital if it's West Ham and we are playing well it will be interesting to see how Newcastle react.

wow, another newcastle hater. who doesn't these days...

I'd like to think that we should be able to successfully take the 3 points this weekend. Although we have a number of injuries, a few of them key players, we still have a strong enough squad to win this match. Both these sides are having similar problems in terms of owners, and speculation about key men in the squad. but I think the home advantage should be enough to bring home the bacon.

My prediction is 2-0.

Sorry Tom_Nufc but I believe Newcastle isn't strong enough to beat West Ham. If they were playing a few weeks ago (when the Hammers were playing horribly) maybe they could win but at this moment I don't believe so.

We'll just have to wait and see then. Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but to me what you said is rubbish. You make it sound like West Ham are like a top 4 team. they're only a few places a few points ahead of us in the table.

I wondered what the reaction would be to "your worst signing ever" - thats 4 in 4 for the fella, he is working wonders for my dream team!

Thats just my sense of humour Sparky!

While I'm pleased he scored I still don't rate him and it will take more than 4 goals to convince me other wise.

If he had put away some of the many and easy chances he had earlier this season the Hammers would be higher up the table.

I have Darren Bent in my dream team Laughing

Even though the poor decisions evened themselves out over the game, can I ask what was wrong with our dissalowed goal? There is clearly minimal, if any contact with Collins and he goes over like a sack of s***.

Very entertaining game though, end to end stuff at times, shame we couldnt capitalise on our early lead. Owen hitting the post and the last ditch tackle from Upson which without a doubt would of been in otherwise. Was just one of those days I think Sad

if you watch it again, rather than looking at Collins, watch Owens outstretched arm which clearly pusjes Collins out of the way of the ball. it was deservedly disallowed. even your assistant manager said so.

like you say there were some poor decisions. none more so than the decision not to give west ham a penalty for a blatant foul on Bellamy.

all in all a draw was fair enough i suppose, im not too disheartened with that. the defending was poor to let Owen have so much space and i also felt Green should have done better. Upson will be very disappointed to have lost out in the air to that little wigger also but he did make a fantastic last ditch tackle that perhaps made up for it.

im amazed im saying this but it was a superb finish by Cole for his goal. an all round well taken goal. this is what is expected of him and what he needs to be doing consistently. he still has a long way to go.

Bellamy and Parker were fantastic and ran the show. perhaps a signal of intent to the fans. time will tell...
