After a victory for Tottenham against Wigan in the FA Cup Wigan will be looking forward for trying to gain a certain amount of revenge and that's why I reckon this will be an even harder game than it would of been. To be honest although Wigan have some decent players and a very good work rate we have the players to be winning games like these, but so far this season we have not. I personally believe the reason behind that is playing players who aren't peforming well enough. We have consistently played David Bentley who has been poor, contributing very little offensively and even less defensively. Wigan will be very physical with us and that's why I reckon Harry should play a physical side to combat there physicality and then hopefully our quality will shine through.

I'd hope harry would pick a team that looked a bit like this:-

Tottenham Team:-

----------------------------Gomes----------------------------

----Corluka------Woodgate------King(C)---------Bale-----

Lennon------------Zokora---------Modric-----------O'Hara

------------------Pavlyuchenko------Defoe-----------------

I know it isn't the most physical side but I reckon O'Hara and Zokora could do a very good job. O'Hara and Modric can interchange and hopefully Pavlyuchenko and Defoe can start up a partnership really quickly. Although not a make or break game I think it is a very important game, if we can get a win we can move up a few places and get the confidence up again.

I am going to be positive and go for a victory for the Spurs.

I am praying for a Spurs victory particuarly since falling back into the bottom 3 after today's results - but this could be a tricky tricky tie to negotiate.

Wigan have somewhat been revived of late and are not the relegation fodder they normally play themselves up as - they will either be awful or tough cookies to crack, I fear with them being at home it may be the latter.

However we will go in to the game confident after the cup victory (albeit against a second string 11) and with our new signing possibly partnering the big Ruskie up front, which I am intruiged to see.

Wigan 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Yobbo, that is exactly the team that I would pick for this game.

I hope and pray for any kind of win, seeing as we're back in the bottom three.

I'll go for 0-1 Tottenham.

Is King playing?

If so, then i wouldnt be surprised to see Spurs bagging all 3 points.

I can see Jermaine Defoe scoring on his debut for Spurs like he always does if he plays

But I think Wigan will be far to strong at home and will carry on their winning run under Steve Bruce.

Worrying times for Tottenham fans....In the bottom 3 and facing a long battle against relegation.

I will predict a 3-1 home win for Wigan.

Tottenham team news:

Gomes Bale Woodgate Dawson Corluka King Zokora Modric O'Hara Pavlyuchenko Defoe

Very strange team news. Three centre backs? How will we line up?

I reckon we will start the game like this:-

-------------------------------Gomes-------------------------------

Corluka-------King(C)-----Dawson------Woodgate---------Bale

------------Modric-----------Zokora------------O'Hara-----------

------------------------Defoe-------Pavlyuchenko----------------

Sort of how Wales play, with 5 at the back sort of, as in this case the wingbacks will be pretty far up the pitch alot. If that is how we will line up Bale and Corluka will be told to get forward at every opportunity

A pretty poor half from us, and Wigan didn't do great either. With Zokora and King in there we really don't have alot of creativity. I think Harry should bring off Didier Zokora for Tom Huddlestone as Jermaine Defoe has made a few clever runs but hasn't be picked out and hopefuly the passing qualities of Huddlestone would be a big advantage if you ask me.

At best, I'd say we've given a battling performance so far. We're finding it hard getting the ball through to the likes of Modric, Pav and Defoe.

Definitely need to be more creative in the second half. O'Hara did OK though.

Bale is so sh1t.

He's too weak and docile. 'Arry will send him on his way once he finds an ideal replacement.

Bale is young and lacks experiance quite similar to the Rafael of Man United. He should have spent loan spells at some of the EPL teams before make a cut into the first team.

Super-sub Bent is warming up.

Why are Spurs playing 5-3-2? Seems an odd formation to me because the formation requires strikers with creativity. Spurs have Pavlyuchenko and Defoe, two forwards who create nothing and work solely on the creativity of others. This leaves all the creativity in the hands of Modric, Bale and Corluka.

Corluka is poor going forward, Bale is playing terribly at the moment and Modric has been poor since he came to England. Unsuprisingly therefore Spurs have created nothing and it's 0-0.

5-3-2 can be a really effective formation but it requires Roberto Carlos/Cafu style wing backs and a forward like Totti/Arshavin/Cassano to create chances for the other forward.

Spurs have neither of those things so it won't work for them.

Add to that their best player is Lennon, a winger, and it really makes no sense to play this way for them.

Yeah i agree with that, formation doesnt working for Spurs, it is leaving gaps in the midfield and allowing Valencia to take on the defenders and if he beats on he is in the box and with Gomes under the sticks, anything could happen.

We've gone 4-4-2 now, with Lennon on the right.

Crap match in all honesty!!!

I know the commentators said that but how can it be 4-4-2 when you still have three centrebacks on the pitch? Surely it's the same formation with Lennon behind the strikers?
