certainly going to be tough one to call as to who gose up automaticaly I would personaly say Sheff Utd probabaly have the advantage in that they are playing a mid table side with nothing to play for and what ever you may say the fact Warnock is manager of Palace could well be a deciding factor. What ever you may say if world get through to Selhurst Park that Birmingham are losing while Sheff Utd are say 1-0 up with 15 minutes to go I very much doubt Warnock will do much to try to change things around.

6 Burnley 45 20 13 12 8 73
7 Preston 45 20 11 14 11 71

Reading's 2-0 victory away at Norwich has guarenteed their play off place.........

If they defeat Birmingham at home on Sunday they could still grab that
second automatic promotion place and promotion to the premier league!

Sheffield United are still in with a shout also if results go their way and they win at Crystal Palace!

well I think Reading v Birmingham, dose look a very strong bet for a draw and I would say Sheff Utd will beat Palace, if that happens I actualy quite fancy Burnley to nick the play off promotion spot.

What an end to the promotion and play off race it was

1 Wolverhampton Wanderers 46 27 9 10 28 90
2 Birmingham City 46 23 14 9 17 83
3 Sheffield United 46 22 14 10 25 80
4 Reading 46 21 14 11 32 77
5 Burnley 46 21 13 12 12 76
6 Preston North End 46 21 11 14 12 74
7 Cardiff City 46 19 17 10 12 74

Congrats to Wolves and Birmingham on winning automatic promotion

And to Sheffield United,Reading,Burnley and Preston for finishing in the play off places

Here are all the results involving teams that were going for promotion or the play offs..............

Crystal Palace 0 - 0 Sheffield United
Burnley 4 - 0 Bristol City
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 - 0 Doncaster Rovers
Sheffield Wednesday 1 - 0 Cardiff City
Reading 1 - 2 Birmingham City
Preston North End 2 - 1 Queens Park Rangers

What a disaster for Cardiff.........Their 1-0 defeat at Wednseday means they have missed
out on goal difference thanks to Preston's 2-1 victory at home against QPR who take their place.

Told you they had messed it up, every single season they have an absolutely shocking spell and this season it was left till right at the end.

If they had lost to Preston 5-0 instead of 6-0 people would of still laughed at Cardiff yet they'd be in the play offs.

I don't even feel sorry for them it was all there own doing.

It wasn't on goal difference was it Hams? I thought they both were on the same points same goal difference same goals scored it was on head to head and after that 6-0 drubbing Preston went through. So if they had only lost 5-0 then they would of had a 1 better goal difference. Quite comical actually. Laughing

I dont know who id rather see go up. Preston maybe, they 've always been there or there abouts for a few years, now they are in the play offs, i think they deserve it, but so do the other 3.

hopefully ipswich wont be there next season, but top of the league instead...................

I do hope that Preston make it but I sincerely doubt it as well. I have some relatives that support the Lilywhites and every year they make the playoffs they get their hopes up only to come crashing down back to reality.
