Joma will supply the shirts and training kits for the 2005/06 season, brining around £1m to the club over three years. A new design for the home and away shirts is to be unveiled over the next couple of months
You may well be thinking 'who the hell are Joma?'. After three years of the well-known brand Puma, that is understandable, but Joma have actually may the strips for Charlton and Deportivo La Coruna amongst others and are not completely unknown. They are a big player in Spain and provide boots for the likes of Gabri and Pavon. The extra revenue will also be appreciated.
David Temme believes that Joma is the perfect manufacture for the club and promises an exciting design as Joma look to expand their reputation in Europe. It is also hoped that we will achieve the unthinkable and actually have the shirts ready for sale by the start of next season.
Looking at the kits that Joma have produced other clubs, it looks as though the City crest may make the daring move to the centre of the shirt. Joma's director John Woodfield promises new and exciting fabrics.
We wait with anticipation.
Meanwhile, the prices for new year's season tickets will soon be announced. Rumour has it that adult prices will be frozen but concession prices will be slashed in an attempt to boost attendances at Ninian Park.
