recently the Champions League went from having two group stages to having one group stage and then knockout rounds. and i was wondering, should UEFA make it ALL knockout? and should it be open to more than two sides from one country? i Believe they should make it all knockout and limit the ammount of sides from each country. and here are my reasons:

1)it should be renamed as the European Cup as the Champions League lets in sides who aren't CHAMPIONS

2) i think that if the top two sides from the top league's in EVERY country in Europe were allowed in then Television money will go to sides in places like Latvia and Estonia, which means their league's can develop more, creating a more even playing field in Europe (fair enough it'd take time but it'd be better than it is now)

3)Knockout rounds are better than league rounds, would you want the FA Cup to have mini league's? No, obviously, there would be no chance of "Giant Killing" if there were league's, this would add some "Cup Magic" to a CUP competition which i believe has lost a bit of it's sparkle recently

4) with the top two sides from each league being in the CL, then 3rd and 4th placed teams would go into the UEFA Cup, and no sides who get knocked out of the CL would be automatically placed into the UEFA Cup, as CL rejects really devalues the UEFA Cup, which has lost credibility due to this. the UEFA Cup would then be worth playing for.

I believe that the Champions League as it is now is neither fare or that exciting!!! While i can see the reasoning behind deciding the number of teams a country gets by their success it is not fare as the smaller countries are not able to compete on an even footing because of lack of money. if they continue with this policy we could end up with a Champions League with just a handfull of countries represented.

I agree that it should revert back to a knoclout competion as that is far more exciting and gives the smaller teams a chance. also a knockout competion would mean less matches which has got to be a good thing as teams in the cl and domestic cups have so many matches to play it can effect their league performance. This is one of the reasons that Liverpools premiership form has not been better as their injury problems have been made worse by habing so many games to play!!

I also agree with the idea of having the two top teams from each league in the competion!! the idea of the cl 'rejects' going into the uefa cup does devalue that competition and gives less places for other clubs.

I would also , though know it will never happen, like to see the cup winners cup come back as having three different european competions gave smaller clubs a great chance of qualifying. I would also like to see the domestic cups have a shake up with the league cup being solely for non premiership teams.
