He is a stunning full back he effectively plays in midfield like Roberto Carlos this will add more depth to an already excellent squad. They will be title contenders next year.

The deal for Alves is as good as done.

You will see this guy an LFC player shortly.

Not sure what happened yesterday - But my source told me he'd be announced on Wednesday.

But it will happen & should be announced shortly.

The deal for Daniel Alves is very much on & will be concluded shortly.

The problem was not the amount of money Sevilla were asking.

The fee for Alves is thought to have been agreed at 10.5 millions.

The stumbling block has been the way in which Liverpool Fc pay for Alves.

Sevilla are thought to have wanted a large chunk now with smaller payments/installments over the next few years.

Where as

Liverpool FC are thought to be holding out for 4 equal payments over the next 4 years.

But I understand that this is very close to being concluded now & there should be movement anytime.

Once again - the deal for Daniel Alves is still very much on.

Many thanks

No.

I only report in here what I am told Jono.

The papers were & still are full of the Alves deal being dead n burried - but it isnt I assure you.

I will only write in here what I consider to be true at the time of hearing or before going to press.

The problem with most of the big transfers are the edited by YeeKiat - see PM agents !!

I cant stand the way they conduct buisness - So many deals I hear of come to abrupt ends because the negative tactics the agents use.

I think its high time, there are big restraints put on the agents by FIFA.

This is what I told you all I heard a few days ago -

Alves deal still on as Pennant enters pictureJul 1 2006

By Ian Doyle, Daily Post

Liverpool have not completely given up hope of signing Daniel Alves - although Rafael Benitez is prepared to turn to Jermaine Pennant should his patience finally run out.

Reports from Spain yesterday stated Liverpool have offered Sevilla £9.5million for Brazilian right-back Alves, a fee which would rise to almost £11m based on appearances and other bonus payments depending on the player's progress at Anfield.

It has been suggested the stumbling block is the mode of payment, with the Spaniards agreeing to the deal in principle but seeking a larger down payment.

Benitez remains keen on the player but is on the brink of pulling the plug on the deal, with pre-season starting on Monday and the Spaniard wanting time to work with his new signings.

** I know some of the journolists at this paper & This is much and the same as what I heard - but More so - I heard Pennant will sign even if Daniel Alves does.***

The president of Sevilla has said that the negotiation has broken off and that Alves will continue playing in Sevilla for the moment.
