Blackburn manager Mark hughes today released nils erik johansson and craig short.
Both were out of contract and had hoped to get a new deal but they dont figure in mark hughes plans.
Short, 36, joined Rovers in July 1999 in a £1.7m move from
Everton. He began his league career with Scarborough before moving on to Derby and Notts County.
He made 134 league appearances for Rovers, scoring four goals.
Stockholm-born Johansson, 25, was signed from German side Nuremberg in 2001 and made 86 league appearances for Rovers, 27 as a substitute.
