I think many agree with me that England was the most boring team of the tournament. The players were highly overrated, the team didn't work and play extremely lazy, dull, unattractive footbal, the supporters are extremely silly (they only thing they do is sing God save the queen).
We're all glad they were kicked out (by a tiny nation), we all deserve it. Moreover, it once again shows that Britain should not be considered to be European. It is a foggy obscure island in the North Atlantic somewhere, that lacks vitality and intelligence. Brasil should join the EU instead of the UK. So we at least can have some decent football. (You rule France!!) Anyway, England and Britain sucks. They're the worst football nation on earth. The entire world agrees. |

But the Ukraine is just a first timer, crawling out of half a century of Soviet rule. You'll see them beating England many times in the future. You have to compare things correctly. Of all the (supposedly) great football nations - Italy, Brasil, Argentina, Spain, Germany, and France - England is the worst. That's because Britains always give a lot of show, but no substance. It's their lifestyle. When Reality knocks at the door, they always lose. |

I don't think that England were the most boring, but they certainly played very negatively.
They squeezed through Paraguay, huffed and puffed against T&T, played poorly against Sweden, played terribly against Equador, and when they finally came up against a good team (Portugal) they stuck 10 men behind the ball. Very boring. The funniest thing is that the World Cup will not miss them, and will be better without them. England go home with absolutely no memories, and hardly and credibility, after the reaction of a large amount of fans (ie blaming anyone but themselves) |

Please, please, do not confuse England and Britain. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are embarrased and ashamed to be associated with the arrogant and bitter English. I am Scottish, and hate being associated with England, as do most of us. We are welcoming, friendly and up for a laugh, unlike many Englishmen. We also know that our football teams are crap, but are passionate about them anyway. England fail to realise that they are shite, and are agressive as a result So, again, please do not associate England with the rest of us. |

No - I clearly mentioned that Scots can admit, and have a laugh, about their failures. The English cannot, preferring to delude themselves in grandeur, when they are really just as bad. As a result, they hype everything up, and when they inevitably fail, the "fans" wreck wherever they happen to be. Dry your eyes mate. And, everyone else, congratulations to Portugal, unlucky Brazil last night, you were a joy to watch (unlike England) and I hope that you remember that Scotland are the good guys, who are unfortunately stuck next to the English

They certainly need a better coach, McClaren IMO will do little better than Sven. They have some good players in their ranks, but often look laboured going forward.

Exactement!! England is a show nation that seldom delivers. Without Irish, Scotsmen and others, the UK would be a hopeless dead island. The only thing that makes Great Britain great is the fact that it contains non-English people. Anyway, I want the UK out of the EU, and Brasil in. We continental Europeans have much more in common with Latin America than with England. Football just symbolises this divide. (In my grand scheme, Scotland and North Ireland and that other piece, Wales, is it? They can stay.) |
