Both on the verge of retiring but who on the day is the best?

They´re both good, but since the beginning of this WC Figo has given more proofs.

Zidane in my opinion was the greatest player on earth in his day. He was so important to France winning the World Cup in 98 also. Superb player, and has played at the very top throughout his career. Both great footballers, but Zidane wins it for me

I voted for Zidane for his overall career didnt perform in the group stages, he did well against Spain & i think gave one of the best performances of his career against Brazil. But Figo has been brilliant in each game he's played in this Wold Cup.

They do not play in the same position in my view. Both are top class players. Figo can do things and run past players one way and zidane does it another way.

Now this a fair comparison. When both players were in their prime they faced each other in the semi-finals of the 2000 Euro. Zidane proved in that game to the world (or at least to me) who was the best player on Earth at the time. Definitely Zidane.

zidane is out of this world,figo was a great winger but has lost pace over the last two three years so his weapon is gone,zidane just is pure brilliance he doesn't need pace he has his fabulous technique!
