i want to congratulate italy national team..they play very good..

they deserve to win..thanks to all the italians players that give to all the argentinians a very good time..

GERMANY SHOW THAT THEY DONT HAVE NOTHING..FIRST OF ALL THEY PASS NEXT ROUND BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN EASY GROUP..THEN IN 1/16 THEY PLAYED AGAINST A TEAM THAT DIDN DO NOTHING IN THE FIELD..AND WHEN THEY PLAYED AGAINST AN IMPORTANT TEAM(ARGENTINA) THEY DIDN DESERVE TO WIN..NOW THEY ARE OUT..THE LIE IS OVER..GERMANY NEVER PLAYED GOOD..

FRING,PODOLSKY,BALLACK AND BIERFHOFF..FOR BEING CHEATERS NOW PLAYED THE IMPORTANT AND GLORIOUS MATCH FOR..THE 3TH PLACE!! Laughing Laughing

Good answer. Razz But who cares for the bad losers from Argentina? I rather see Italy in the final than them! Cool

Well for me as a strong german supporter its hard to say this. But I think its the right thread to do so.

Italy my congratulations! Its been a fair match. Both sides had good chances.
At the end i think Germany had to pay for the long and hard match against Argentina and we werent able to compensate the loss of Frings.

Nevertheless Italy played its best match this worldcup so far. Good luck for the final!

Well still gotta say: "Dont cry Argentina!" go back to Cap Horn!

Interesting way of thinking. You, as a nation, feel better now that Italy beat Germany in a football match ? I don't believe you that would be too sad.

You Argentinians are the sorest losers of this WC... it's pathetic. You soil the image of yourselves with your whining and lack of grace. Technically I admire your team, but personally you all need to grow up for your respect to match your playing ability.
I feared someone would start a thread like this, and of course it's not an Italian, who by and large have been magnanimous and gracious in victory, but some sissy Argi..... if you and your team spent all your effort diving and whining on playing, maybe you would have had the extra push to put the game away in regulation time (like Italy did) and THEN be able to say "We are the better team". Barring a ref who hands the game to one side with penalties, if you don't win the game, you may have had a better midfield, or a better set of forwards, or more possesion for example, but overall your not the better team.... cause then you would have won.... just like Germany did.... and sent you Argi's packing.
NOBODY likes a sore loser, so don't degrade your side by acting this way..... don't you have to be a certain age to be allowed on these boards???
Congratulations to Italy, well done! "Don't cry for me, Argentina....", Germany will be around to boot you out of the Cup next time around too Smile
Cheers!

O, and by the way Maradona is not the greatest of all time. There is no such thing as the greatest of all time. Scoring two unforgettable goals in 86-one was spectacular the other a CHEATING volleyball move. Your two world cups mean nothing, one you won cheating. "Hand of God"-a statement the arrogant Mara made up himself. The second one you won at home. Maradona is the only thing you can gloat on, because you can't win world cups with out cheating or playing at home. And just for the record if there was a greatest player it would be Pele. Thats why even though he's black FIFA honors him and respects him. Not Diego who sits in the stands with the regular guys during game screaming like a mad man.

What´s all the hard feelings for?!

I am German and I got my heart broken last night, but man I would so NEVER try and blame it on the ref or insult the successful rival nation - I fully respect that Italy had more of a cutting edge, and I admire their team, they where incredible last night, strong, fast, athletic, aggressive but fair - just flawless offensive football at it´s best.

They deserved to win, because they where more determined when the going got tough. Proved to have one hell of a heart and spirit.

With the last remaining bets for champion being France, Portugal and Italy, I even go for the Azzuri - they´re the best of the three, in my opinion, plus they´re a classic football nation finally back with a great team.

So even if they kicked German ass yesterday, I´ll be happy to see them raise the trophy on Sunday.

The whole thing is as much about the beauty of the game as it is about seeing your team win - and that beauty should include good old-fashioned sportsmanship. It´s so sad to see that some people don´t even have an inch of this core value in them.

No haters in football for me.

I´d rather be celebrating some other nations´ well deserved victory along with our many WC- guests, than be bitter about my team losing to a worthy opponent.

no offence was meant by locking your topic unkanny , it was just that as a joke it was going nowhere . You could have easily posted it in one of the other topics about the match . Cool

There are a few topics that have been started in this section by members which could have been talked about in just one thread , we just ask members to think before they post and see if there is a topic already open on the subject .

This will save having 5 or 6 topics talking about Rooney or Ronaldo or France or England....etc

I'm a german and I was a little bit sad (just a littl bit) that germany did not win
in my school class the boys (yes, no girls) said : yes italy is silly and we
are the right winner of this game! burned italy down...etc!
i think they are stupid racsists (the boys not the italys)!
italy played well and they won, why not?

i know your sadness because we lost a lot of important matches in the past but i think that the german's guys have to learn who are Leonardo da vinci, Verdi, Pavarotti, Morricone etc instead of eat only a pizza!

Well same thing with Metzelder. He played horrobly this season and played a great world cup.
Lippi played a very offensive strategy for an Italian. It was pretty brave and he got rewarded for it.

And who takes Bild serious?
Its like The Sun or the Guardian in England. Nobody really takes them serious.

Who knows Marcello (the best Italian manager of the last 2 decades), is aware of the fact that Italy don't play Catenaccio anymore. Maybe their game is based on a strong defence, but they can also play offensively...if they really need and want. Wink

Playing with Alex del Piero and Totti together could be an option also for the final...

noo men..i m no a bad looser...

listen..i admit argentina lost..but i can NEVER admit germany deserve to win..so i dont have to congratule them for being in semi-finals..apart from that podolsky and bierhoff laugh at us..and frings punch cruz..so why i have to congratulate a cheater team? and i dont want to blame the ref but...i saw the match 3 times..and altough he dont have importants bad decisions he commited some mistakes and all in favour of germany..

but well this is football..but please give me the reason in something..germany dont have nothing..and they show it in the match against italy..men if you are objective you have to know that germany didnt deserve to win against argentina and italy..but well i repeat this is football..

Dear Lorenzo,

That's not true. That was no punch. And I have to remind you of the attack on Mertesacker and Schweinsteiger (beeing punched hardly on the head). You started it. So no respect to your team.

Kind regards,

S-R-G

Arrivederci germany!!
