Who do you think the best players in each team are? Or the ones who make a huge difference in each team.

Ok I'll start it off....

Italy = Pirlo

Germany = Schneider

Portugal = Deco

France = Zidane

Czech Republic = Nedved Very Happy

schneider? ha! mate have you been watching their games? each and every time odonkor has come on for him they have looked a better side! here are the star performers for each of the teams that made it past the first round

germany - klose
sweden - isaakson
england - ferdinand
ecuador - mendez
portugal - miguel
holland - robben
argentina - rodriguez
mexico - marquez
italy - cannavaro
australia - neill
brazil - ze roberto
ghana - essien
swiss - degen
ukraine - shevchenko
france - zidane
spain - torres

noteable mentions - ballack (though still not near his best), podolski, a. cole, pirlo (only cos cannavaro may have been easily replaceable), chipperfield, kaka (bad final game), muntari, vieira

take it easy champ, dont blow a fuse. the most pathetic team was obviously serbia & montenegro, they had nothing to be proud of. the most pathetic player probably didnt score a goal so that rules crouch out.. lets be reasonable now. crouchy and lennon did pretty well in the circumstances against portugal. id take him over pauleta any day of the tournament

I was Kidding...I've been reading lot's of things that make no sense about Portugal...So I'm very disspointed with english supporters!!!



Lennon is a very good player (honest opinion). But Crouch is very very very bad...In Portugal we don't have those kind of players...

I won't say who I found best because I haven't see all matchs but I want to underline one player who made a fantastic job and has been forgotten in the list of the 10 best even he is not the best : SAGNOL. I hope that he scores in final.

I wouldnt lable The England team as the most pathetic.Ok we didnt play the best football by a mile i wouldnt label any team pathetic

I would say the team that let themselfs down the most would be Czech Republic i thought they were going to do well but how wrong was i

Best players:

1 - Pirlo - Fantastic games, fantastic when it comes to organise the plays, fantastic defending... the best.

2 - Maniche . As Pirlo had fantastic games, a lot of phisical ability to play, wonderful playing for the team.

3 - Zidane - Eventhough the red card in the final... showed fantastic football. Top 5 footballers ever.
