Zidane appeared to react to something that was said and was dismissed for his violent charge into his opponent.

"He told me Materazzi said something very serious to him but he wouldn't tell me what," agent Alain Migliaccio told BBC Five Live Sport.

Sources in France say it is believed Materazzi insulted Zidane's mother.

no. if materazzi really insulted zidane's mother who is ill heshould wash himself in [beep!]..
and zidane should have headbutted him in the face

that would be unacceptable.does not matter how professional you can be does not matter that there are billions watching you if anybody even in a word cup final was abusing my mother that is ill I would leave him for dead...

if this is the case materazzi banned for life from International football

Yes, mate - "in prison for a heatbut". Being sentenced to prison doesn't mean you actually go to prison (you can get the conditional) - BUT YOU STILL GET SENTENCED.

Prison, of course, isn't the subject here. The real problem here is that people (like Pauleta) are still trying to justify Zidane. And that's stupidity to say the least.

I didn't hear anyone justify Totti when he spat at Poulsen, or anyone justify De Rossi when he elbowed the American. There was nothing to justify, and they got what they deserved (both got 4 matches, I believe).

Anyone here remember Tassotti in 1994 - he elbowed Luis Enrique in the Qfinal against Spain - he got banned for 8 (eight!) matches. That same year Leonardo (Brazil) got banned for 4 matches for an elbow. What does Zinedine deserve (even if he's decided to stop?). Much more than 8 games!!!

But today I found out interesting thing: I hate Italy and italian mf football!

Thank u..
I wished that ukrainians thanks Italy just for what Milan (and italian football) did for Shevchenko (ur best player).. Rolling Eyes
But I'm wrong.. I'm sorry. Sad

Hey man, what are you talking about???
You better think what Sheva did for your club. Everything that you have won is because of him. Without his goals and abilities you could never reach championships and cups. He made the best for your club. So shut up. And be thankful! Sheva played better here. Your coaches made him a one-line player (player who stands in a box and waits a ball). In Dynamo Kiev he was universal and could play everywhere. And he scored really nice goals. Milan depressed his abilities. So you better shut your mouth and think first. And everybody will agree with this message. Ask people!!!!!!!!

First of all: I'm nt a Milan fan! So.. there's no reason for be thankful Wink

I agree Sheva was already a champion before came in Milan (and milanist must thanks him!).. But i also think that italian's league (not just Milan) make him more tactical and cunning! You should say that we're "cheaters" (and u wrong, except juventus Evil or Very Mad or few other clubs) but u can disparage our level of game! (including juve) ..

And i would u remind how Milan lets him to realize 127 goal in 7 seasons, and to win a champion's league and "the european footballer of the year" in 2004. Did u really think Dynamo could let it?Rolling Eyes

I suggest u to ask directly to Sheva what he thinks about his experience in italy! Wink

In the end.. Please be more polite! I didn't say u "Shut Up ur mouth or similar!" That's just my thought! (maybe wrong or not..) ok? Wink

Don't know where it comes from but a friend just mailed me this, the conversation would have been decrypted by lips-reading I guess :

Zidane - "Ordinanza de tirare il costume !"

Materazzi - "Taciti, enculo, hai solamente cio che merite..."

Zidane - "Si e cio..."

Materazzi - "Meritate tutti cio, voi gli enculato di musulmani, sporchi terroristici"

Don't know what it is worth...Need some translations my dear Italian friends.. Wink

Bah no one cares now.

Zidane will still be a Giant whatever happened. What's too bad is that we won't see him play again and that's what the world of football is going to face this morning.

Today also, the story is hot BUT you will see that tomorrow and the day after and after and after, all around the world Materazzi will be more and more pointed as the guy who insulted Zidane and made him expeled ... having tried to break a living myth in its last match, he is possibly going to become the most hated player in the world

It is even possible that some Italian players show a bit of embarrassment or desdain for Materazzi, especially from some who played with Zidane ...

You'll see because you never see Zidane anymore.

Here in Argentina we dont even care what Materazzi told him and dont care to find out. In every country except France of corse will happen the same because to insults you respond with insults or ask the the one who insulted you to fight, BUT YOU DONT CHEAP SHOT YOUR OPPONENT.

Of course I would say this if it was an Argentine involved like Ortega in 98 cup against Holland goalkipper.

Simple as that

Is not so easy to translate this in english Confused

Zidane - "Don't pull my shirt" (maybe..cause ordinanza doesn't make sense in italian)

Materazzi - "Shut up, Vaffanculo, You have what you deserve"

Zidane - "?" (maybe cause "Si e ciò" has no sense in this sentence)

Materazzi - "You deserve it, you and the other [beep!] muslim, [beep!] terrorist"

I'am agree that zizou make the worstest choice -a stupid choice- he could makes and he deserve his red card.
-no contest of this point- we could not defend him
But Zizou still a great champion and a great men he's impulsif and he had not kill Materrazzi and a lot of player had makes worst than him.
Zizou one of the most talentuous player in the history of football.
He was the better player in the world during his best day and during the large majority of his career he was fair play and he had respect his oppononent so please stop judge him for one action.

Everyone knows materazzi is a racist and a xenophobic fascist...

I hope he will be severly punished. Ass holes like him shouldn't be allowed to play football anymore...

Maybe that will sound stupid to some of you but i think zidane sacrified himself, putting a final of a world cup, at the second rank of his priorities, in order to show to the world things like this shouldn't be allowed on a field anymore... i think i would have reacted the same way if i had been insulted like this..

I support AC Milan and I sing "Materazzi son of...." during 90 minutes when Milan play vs Inter, so I am not "friend" of Materazzi... but I have to say that is definetly an unfair player, maybe violent sometimes, but is not racist an fascist... a lot of newspaper have written today that Materazzi said something about Zidane's sister... so we don't right now what's the truth. If you look the video, u can watch that Zidane say more than "Why?"...

What u say about the Zidane's sacrifice doesn't sound stupid. Is stupid and stop IMHO

Well, this is not exactly italian...It seems like drunk spanish. I try to translate it (and sorry for my english ^^):

Zidane: [it makes no sense]
Materazzi: Shut up, [beep!] you, you have what you deserve.
Zidane: [it really makes no sense!]
Materazzi: You deserve all this, [beep!] you muslims, dirty terrorists.

But i think this dialogue is science fiction Rolling Eyes.

Zidane - "Ordinanza de tirare il costume !"

Uhm.. That's a [beep!] sentence!.. "Tirare il Costume" means "Pull the suit" ?? Smile maybe something about the sport uniform or the shorts??.. "Ordinanza" means "Decree!!" Laughing .. so that "lips-reading" is obviously wrong!

belis wrote:

Materazzi - "Taciti, enculo, hai solamente cio che merite..."

"Taciti" isn't italian Laughing maybe "Taci!" that means "Shut up!".. The same for "enculo" maybe "vaffanculo" or "inculo!" it means "[beep!] ur ass, [beep!] off".. "hai solamente cio che merite" maybe the correct sentence's "hai solamente ciò che meriti" translated it means "That's just u deserve!"

belis wrote:

Zidane - "Si e cio..."

I think Zidane said "Sì e cioè?" that sounds like "Hey man! What?"

belis wrote:

Materazzi - "Meritate tutti cio, voi gli enculato di musulmani, sporchi terroristici"

Maybe he said "Meritate tutto ciò, voi inculati???Confused musulmani, sporchi terroristi!"
I assume that this sentence isn't right in italian language but maybe can be translated like "You deserve that! [beep!]'muslims! Nasty Terrorists!" Shocked

How can u see this translation is not at all comprehensible.. except the probable insult against muslisms.. So i can't yet express my opinion. However maybe Materazzi wrongd! Confused
