Clear to all. he warned us before the tournament that we would suffer during the tournament due to the scandal at home. He was furious after beating his own country and it had to be him to crown us!!. WOw what a nightmare it must have been for him!!.

i'm not surprised when i see Beckenbauer's face when he talked to Domenech. it's like he didn't approve the italian victory.

Thank you Beckenbauer, you had eyes too. Razz

He was prob furious because Italy presented FIFA with a extra zoomed cut of some tv footage of the Germany/Argentina scrap. Which got one of the key players suspended from the team?

OR

maybe it was the constant diving in the group stages?

OR

the elbow to the face to the American?

OR

the dive in the Penalty box against Australlia ?

OR

the insult to Zidanes mom and sister that got one the greatest legends disqualified in his last ever match?

Zidane give some excuse to people and the children who watch his act. But he doesn't regret because if he regrets, it means that he accepts that meterazi has told. Rolling Eyes

I don't think Fifa will take back the cup, but it's a sad image for world cup who want to celebrate unification of the country and does the contrary of their message they have given us in the beginning of each match.

Watch it, mr steven2005bc, if you keep talking rubbish you may end up ......I'd better be more diplomatic.

What got Zidane red carded? I thought it was his headbutt. No, I can confirm it.

Constant diving? Come on, prove it - show us the footage, point out the events, don't just write crap.

Oh my God, another post going on about Frings - who got Frings disqualified? I thought it was the feeble punch he gave to Cruz? No, I can confirm it.

The dive in the penalty area? Are you really sure it was a dive? Can you prove it? Have you seen the replays? I have, and I still don't think it was a dive, because there was contact between the defender and Grosso (twice, actually - right foot-right elbow, and left foot-right hand). It's enough for a penalty, but I admit that the touches were feeble - but I can't understand how Grosso could've stayed upright.

Did you ask De Rossi why he elbowed the American? No, you didn't, but you're judging him already. Maybe the American called him an Italian mother.... pizzaeating terrorist or something... Noone asked, did they? All I know is that the Italian press kicked the crap out of him - they made him apologise on TV. But noone asked for explanations. But Zidane is Zidane, isn't he? He MUST have had a reason.

You think Italians are cheats. What about France's penalty in the final - there was no contact there. What can you say about that - who cheated there?

Beckenbauer was disappointed because he made a prediction that he should have kept to himself - he said Italy would have paid for the scandal back home (and they did, but they got their change, too) - he said "SH!T, They're in the second round - let's knock them out like we did 4 years ago - let's have someone sent off for NOTHING", but then the ref saw what he thought was a penalty in the last minute and blew that idea. Then his side got knocked out in the best game of the tounament, and then we know what happened in the final. That's why Beckenbauer was p!55ed off.

Steven2005, before posting undocumented (and undocumentable) text, please return to A.D., and leave the B.C. behind - and try not to be too influenced by the media, and think with your own mind.

i think beckenbauer is bored with your football (like me), your are winners but you are not footballers, you win honnestly when you can, but if not you do all the bad things that you can to destroy the match. Wasting time, talking with the referee during a long time to gain time, players always laying on the ground with the doctors, insults the other players to provocate the expulsion.

You don't respect your adversaries, so you will never be loved like Brazil.

You're a world cup winner only in Italy. Very Happy

I watched all the matches, and didn't see any of that timewasting - actually, I'm sure I saw Barthez mess about wasting time (even letting the ball go out, waiting for the attacker before picking up the ball etc)...he's not Italian is he? On the ground - especially in the final I only saw one incident of such - the Materazzi incident - but maybe you're so blinded by the fact that you didn't see the headbutt that you think he was lying down for the sun... And speaking to the referee - it was the same incident - and I think they HAD something to say. Or maybe they should've shut up and not said what Zidane did, eh?

So, only Italian players insult others. SH!T - we're talkig about the same incident.

You are not very clever, my dear. Your are making reference to the same event in all your comments. It just won't go down, will it?

"All the bad things to destroy the match"... nonsense. Can you indicate some footage, please. Tell me, which match? Which minute?

Italy played some of the best football in the wc. They didn't sit back and defend all their games and leads, even though they had a defense capable of doing so. They attacked. They had an attack-orinentated formation. Who scored? Every part of the squad, even the defenders. What was Grosso doing there against Germany (I suppose you think he was offside, or something - I said before you need new LENSes)? WHy was Pirlo awarded best player in a few matches? What about Gattuso - bad player, is he? Perrotta.... the list goes on and on.

Italy DID score goals, too, didn't they? I bet you didn't cheer any of them - I actually jumped for joy when Henry scored against Brazil, because they deserved it. I bet you weren't disappointed when Italy had Materazzi wrongly sent off against Australia, when Italy was dominating.

Accusing Italy of cheating is CHEAP. Saying that they didn't play football is even CHEAPER.

All you ahev is one event - I have the rest of the 7 matches (and more) to prove what I'm saying.

Yes, maybe we're only winners in Italy - but only because most of the rest CAN'T TAKE IT.

How do you know Beckenbauer was [beep!]?
He hasn't said anything to support that assumption in German Media.
Do you think that cause he said the Italian league scandal would hurt the italian national team?
Or because he talked to Domenech?

Anyway, maybe he was [beep!], but then I would say he might just simply dislike Italian football.

As Gattusino said...Bigbro, nevermind. History won't remember about rclens foulish words, but only the 4th italian title.
Concerning Beckenbauer...He is a je*k. We all know he can't stand Italy. When Milan and Juventus went in the all-italian final of Champions League he said the Champions League quality was really bad that year... Rolling Eyes
Poor him. He had a sort of grinch on his mouth when he had to award Italy....Ahhhhhh, how satisfying it was!! Very Happy

I've come to a conclusion that rclens needs some kind of psychological help (the same goes for omissis), so I think I'm finished with them.

FORZA AZZURRI.

Oh, and seeing as we're all corrupted and cheats, should we start collecting the cash for 2010 today, or tomorrow? Ah, ah ah

You lot are hardly qualified to bring up World War II, need i remind you, The Italians were on the side of the Axis for the majority of the war. Damn Italian Facists!

I agree with Beckenbauer, it's pains me to see a team like Italy to win the World Cup again. We see big strong players like Gattuso go down at the slightest touch, and for a guy his size, it's embarrassing. But it matters not anymore, the World Cup is over for another 4 years, Italy are World Champions, Italy's top teams are all cheaters....nothing we can do about it really.

You told it...WE ARE the WORLD CHAMPIONS. Now relax and enjoy the next 4 years. Or, maybe...you can try to create a new tournaument: "the moral world cup", so there will be plenty of "moral" winners...

You virtually cheated in 1934, getting your dictator to pick the referees. Mention Ireland all you like, but we're not expected to win the the World Cup.

Envious you say? Envious that your biggest club got relegated for cheating...says alot about Italy.

Squall23, I can even pretend not to notice some comments of yours, even if I disagree,

but I suggest you go back and carefully delete (or diplomatically edit) the "say a lot about Italy" bit. You wouldn't want to offend me, would you?

You can talk as you want with me. I support Inter FC (we are not touched by this scandal). And we have in our team a defender called Materazzi. i think you know him. He is a world champion...

i can tell that it will be more difficult for us to play against Ireland that Italy. I've played against Ireland in our qualifying group, we had luck at the stade de France (Zizou, Thuram, makelele were not here, it's a young france and not a good team) and we had luck to score at Dublin, we haven't dominated Ireland like we've dominated Italy (don't you remenber the second half and the extra time ? you were out. So don't laugh too much, you can early fall, the most difficult is to keep his world cup) Very Happy

Unbeliavable, bringing the subject about italian facist you forget about the french goverment that deport 73000 jews to the hands of the germany to be kill by them. And you forget the story of the old french goverment where thousand of people were killed by the facist french terrorist goverment so not much for the land of the Liberte. About materazzi incident, we could admit that materazzi wasnt an angel but neither Zidane with 14 red cards. You forgot what happen to Totti some years ago where he was insulted and spit on his adversary because of that so Totti was suspended but no one care less of what was said to him. Now FIFA is in big trouble cause just set a precedent where insults on the game would have consequences and you will see how this would affect the outcome of football/soccer in the future. You forget that best game in the world cup declare by the public was Germany vs Italy in Dortmound soil (it wasnt Brasil, nor France, nor spain nor even Argentine) You forget that Italy play better than brasil in USA 94 but they lost to the brasilian by penalty shot out so that is soccer and everyone accepted that faith including italians even though they deserved to be champions by that time. CAlling italian football/soccer booring and unfair is like calling the american footbal senseless and no one have done that cause each one has their own history. So have your facts better and stop breathing from your bounds and accepted this reality: Italian deserves to be world cup champions because despite home adversity, the fact no one gave a dime for them, and the suspensions in the beggining on the tournament, they overcame that and for their first time history they had a flawless penalty shot out which give them the deserved world cup championship. if you can not live with that, stop watching soccer/football cause you will be disappointing each time with any other teams besides italy...

BECKENBAUER CAN'T STAND THE THOUGHT OF SEEING ITALY CHAMPION
