Just a quick stat about the manager who won tournament where a european national team was involved from 2001 to today :
2001 Lemerre 2002 Scolari 2003 Santini 2004 Rehagel 2005 Pareira 2006 Lippi It means there are about 150 who did win those tournaments and Sven is one of them. Does it make him a failure ? |

I just think he was unlucky - he didn't have much to choose from in terms of players (in MY opinion), but most of all I think those players didn't play like he wanted them to. At the same time I think he was very lucky to reach the quarters. |

he was paid 25million pounds for 5 years with nothing to show for it he didnt have the balls to pick the team he should have lampard and gerrard couldnt play together we knew that from euro 2004 he wouldnt change it becks and some of his favourites should have been substituted during games he didnt do it then the whole theo walcott thing what was he thinking he started well and peaked with a 5 1 win over germany and shagging ulrika jonhson fair enough we qualified for competitions but i honestly dont think he believed we could win anything he was scared to do things great managers would have done when it was neeeded he will always be a known as a 1/4 finals manager and i think his reputation has dropped during his 5 years as england manager |
