Should ref's be able to look at replays so they dont make the wrong decision to an innocent player? Personally i think yes, even if its very unlikely, as it might takes a lot of time looking back at replays and stuff, i think its a fair way of playing.

I think (and I can think what I like) that not having replays is just another way of "fixing" matches. It allows everything to settle into "human error". You can't blame the referee (he's only human), you can't blame FIFA (they didn't make the decision). Who can you blame? Bad luck.

Look at our (Italian) league. The players weren't involved, but external influences on the referees managed to get valuable (and incorrect) bookings / penalties etc. This meant things like disqualified players in important matches, wrong results. If you had video replays, the referees decision could be moderated, and you wouldn't have all these "fixed" results.

Another good example could be the semifinal Milan Barcellona - why wasn't Sheva's goal given? Who REALLY won the European Cup? Was it REALLY Barcellona? Would it have been?

Video replays could settle these problems once and forever.
