Barcelona had a £16 million offer for Arsenal striker Thierry Henry rejected this week.
AS says Barca president Joan Laporta is unlikely to end his interest there and will return with an improved bid. Laporta and Henry have a good relationship thanks to their days together with Nike and the French striker is still to hold serious talks with the Gunners about a new contract extension. Henry's current deal expires in 2007 and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has intimated he'd like to see the striker secured to a new two-year contract extension. Laporta is expected to up his bid, but the size of the offer - and its ultimate success - may depend on Barca's negotiations over a new shirt sponsorship agreement with Chinese interests. |

i would hope Arsenal would reject any kind of offer for Thierry Henry , even 50 million as we do not have anyone in the same class as Henry when it comes to scoring goals .
