Bixente Lizarazu- Bayern Munich

The French player will remain with Bayern Munich up till June of 2006.
Coach Felix Magath has announced that the 35 year-old defender, Bixente Lizarazu, has extended his contract with the German champions for another season. The veteran player will now remain in Munich up till the end of the 2005/06 season.

Lizarazu returned to Bayern in January after spending the first few months of the season with Olympique Marseilles. The French defender had initially joined Franz Beckenbauer’s club in 1997.

Hes still a very good defender who is capable of playing at the highest level for a couple of seasons yet, nice to see Bayern still want him though after loaning him out earlier on.

Agree with that and he has been class and loyal for Bayern. We got Lahm back now though!
