Hi putrum, hi barca fans.

I just read that Real Madrid has signed Emerson and Cannavaro, just what they needed. I think they are going to put lots of pressure on us, this season.
I thought that Barcelona was going after Zambrotta. I hope we can get him, because he will bring a boost to our defence.
I think Gudjohnsen is a good signing and I am sure he will shine.
Putrum, if you hear any kind of rumors regarding Barcelona transferts please post it here.

Is almost sure that Barça will sign Thuram and Zambrotta for 12-13m pounds. For this reason Madrid haven't signed Zambrotta. But things could change because there are problems with the board of directors and president. They haven't respected the law and there will be elections in 2 months and their decisions now could be no valid.

Wow Surprised , we are going after thuram too. If we get to sign them both, it would be a great thing.

Afrinux, nice to see you're back.
It's one of the two good decisions you could take, the other one is supporting Madrid Wink

Hi Raul! Thanks for the welcome back.
I would love to support Real, but I am in love with Barcelona. Razz But with Cannavaro and Emerson, sure you gonna put lots of pressure on us.
Ligua espanol will be more fun than the world cup. Now those two have already signed.

The last rumour is that Barça could be interested in Patrick Vieira. 10m euros (about 6-7 m pounds) and Motta for Vieira.

Yes I have read that Inter could be his team next season. But I didn't think that we could sign Zambrotta because Madrid and Milan wanted him and finally he has signed for Barça Very Happy But I think that is difficult that Barça can sign Vieira.

Barcelona's defence is now even stronger than last season, combine that with their formidable attack, they will surely be favourites too retain their CL crown.

I dont think that we need Vieira. We already have an effective midfield.

Regarding the best backline, mine is the same as Pep:
Thuram Marquez Puyol Zambrotta

Cant wait for the season to start, I miss Barcelona. Hope they will come in Tokyo again this pre - season.
Barcelona will be here for Toyota Cup Very Happy Very Happy

Motta and Edmilson are injured often, more Motta than Edmilson. Then perhaps Marquez will have to play in the midfield sometimes.

But in his first season he was 5 or 6 months injured and now he lost the WC due to he was injured. Then is a player that can be injured again.

True he is more injury prone that most other players

But if i remember correctly he hasnt had many injuries at Monaco. 2 years ago he picked up 1 bad injury and last season he played nearly everything. Im confident hell stay fit during the whole season, and if not theres still Motta (or maybe even marquez)

Why not? I know there is a rivality between the two clubs, but I dont see any reasons for not liking Real Madrid. As long they dont abuse our players, I will find it hard to despise them. But I am a true Barcelona fan.

Why not find a low profile player? I dont like our club having the reputation of signing stars like Real.

I have read in barcelona homepage that Saviola is back and he is looking for another club. I think he is a world class striker, why Rijkaard doesnt want to use him? I think he can be a good back up for Messi and Gudjonshen.

Our team will be something like that:
Code:
----------------  Valdes  --------------------------

Thuram ------ Marquez ------  Puyol ------ Zambrotta

 --------------------- Motta   ---------------------

-----------  Edmilson ----------------- Deco --------------

----Messi --------------------------------------- Ronaldinho
 --------------------  Eto'o--------------------

Very Happy Very Happy

Motta and Edmilson won't play together because Xavi won't stay in the bench.

You don't have to despise them but please don't say "i'd love to support Real" again Smile

I'm satisfied with how it is now, we don't need any more players (too much competition is bad as well, will make the players feel very unsure and puts them under a lot of pressure). We have enough back-ups for our attack (5 great players for 3 positions), Saviola would only be sitting on the bench anyway...however i agree with you that he's still a fine player

No Xavi Shocked

Move Eddy to the DM position and Xavi for Motta, and you have a best team Cool

I agree with you on that. Too much competition can lead to lack of motivation. We had the best team in Europe the last 2 years. Larsson is gone, but I think that Gudjonshen will be able to fill it.
We must keep saviola, because we never know. If Gudjonshen finds problems adaptating (which I doubt), saviola would be a boost.

whoa! Where are we going to put Van bommel, Iniesta, Motta Very Happy Very Happy
