Halifax Want Smeltz |
|
Halifax Town boss Chris Wilder hopes to clinch the signing of New Zealand international striker Shane Smeltz.
Smeltz, 24, has impressed during a trial spell and will be offered a deal provided he does not have too many international commitments next season. Wilder told the Halifax Courier: "Shane has done well but we want to check at the New Zealand end how many games they have coming up over the next season. "If he'll be away for long periods then we would have to reassess." Smeltz spent last season with AFC Wimbledon following a brief spell in the Football League with Mansfield Town. |

Yeh he's alright. Went to see Halifax play because my girlfriend supports them and he seemed pretty good. Obviously the football played was abit poor but that's because i'm use to a higher level of football but looks like a good buy for Halifax.
