Feyenoord have revealed they are interested in signing midfielder Timmy Simons from Club Brugge.
The Rotterdam outfit are hoping to sign the 28-year-old for the start of next season, and insist that they are willing to meet the £2.7m asking price to sign the Brugge captain.
Feyenoord technical director Mark Wotte made no secret of his interest in Simons and said: "We know what we can do with Simons and we like the idea."
Simons' agent Guy Bonny believes there may be developments by the weekend.
"I expect that we will see some movement at the end of this week," Bonny told Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg.
