West Ham are keen to pair Millwall centre-back Darren Ward with his brother Elliott at the heart of their defence.
Millwall want to cut costs and are virtually certain to sell Ward, 26, who has also attracted interest from Sheffield United and two other unnamed clubs. But Millwall have indicated strongly that Ward's future is unlikely to be resolved until after the Championship play-off final on Monday week. And with West Ham taking on Preston in that match, it is a significant possibility Ward could leave south London for the East End. |
