Feyenoord close to Ukraine deal |
|
Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Anatolii Tymoschuk claims he is close to sealing a move to Dutch outfit Feyenoord.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder is one of the most highly-rated players in Ukraine, having impressed during the course of his eight-year spell with Shakhtar. A host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the midfielder, but it would appear as if Feyenoord are winning the race. "I want to join Feyenoord as soon as possible," Tymoschuk told AD Sportwereld. "I will take the plane to Holland when the paperwork is done." Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu will be sad to see the midfielder move on, but feels the time is right for him to make the next step in his career. "Tymoschuk is an absolute hero here, but I certainly believe he is ready for the next step in his career," said Lucescu. "It seems that will be in Rotterdam." I think this would be a huge coup for Feyenoord if they manage too sign him, he was clearly one of the Ukraine's best players at the WC. |
