I'm a Plymouth fan and I was just wondering how that plonker is doing there? I believe a number of Stoke fans weren't happy with his return, how are you towards him now?

He's cool now. He waves to the fans. I was a bit surprised that he came back but i'm faithful to the club and, clearly, their faithful to him.

Why did he leave Plymouth in the first place?

We asked him to come back and he said yes so plymouth got Ian Holloway. He's not a bad manager actually.

My opinion differs to that of most Stoke fans.

I think that Tony Pulis is a good manager, he proves that time and time again I think that he gets very harsh treatment from supporters sometimes. Every season that he has been at Stoke the team has always done better and finished higher than expected.

Don't get me wrong, he inst anything spectacular or some sort of great savior, but I think that he does a good job. Many people say that he is a negative long ball manager, I disagree, yes he uses long ball at times, but he also plays football at times too, he mixes his style to whats needed and when, and that can be very effective.

Tactically, he can leave a lot to be desired at times while at other times he get's it absolutely spot on. He is a great motivator and certainly knows how to get the best from his players, but for me, his biggest strength is in the transfer market.

How many other managers do you know could have picked up Danny Higginbotham and Ricardo Fuller from Southampton for less than £500k? This is the same Southampton that have rejected a ridiculous £5m offer for Kenwyne Jones.

That is just an example, but I can't think of any other manager who could have pulled those two signings off the way that Pulis has done, and does time and time again.

I think that he is a good manager and that we are very lucky to have him.


He felt that he has 'unfinished business' at Stoke after the disgraceful way that the clubs previous Icelandic owners treated him.
