O'Neill drops Celtic exit hint |
|
Celtic boss Martin O'Neill has hinted he could walk away from Parkhead after tomorrow's title decider against Motherwell.
O'Neill, standing on the brink of his fourth title in five years, is understood to be considering taking time out of the game to spend more time with his wife Geraldine, who has been suffering from ill health. His team need a win at Fir Park tomorrow to clinch the championship but the Celtic players are going into the game not knowing if O'Neill will be with them for the start of next season. He said: "These five years have been pretty decent and there's as good a chance of me being here than not. "But if you are asking if I will be leaving to go to another football club then the answer would be no. "I'm the longest-serving manager in the SPL and I'm pretty proud of that now. There's not a person round this table or among 60,000 Celtic fans who hasn't got problems. "That's what life's about. I haven't got a monopoly on those." |
