Wrexham have ended their 18-month spell under the grip of administration with just two days to go before the start of the League Two season.
The beleaguered Welsh outfit needed to make the move before the start of the campaign under Football League rules, and announced the positive news in a press conference on Thursday.
Denis Smith's side's future had been thrown into further doubt at the last minute when the Premier League expressed concern about the role of multi-millionaire Steve Morgan due to his links with Liverpool, but a contingency plan has now led to the club's salvation.
A consortium led by Neville Dickens has purchased the League Two side from administrators Begbies Traynor, and supporters trust chairman Bruce Clapton voiced the relief felt by all Wrexham fans.
"Firstly we would like to congratulate Geoff Moss and Neville Dickens on the purchase of Wrexham AFC and on bringing the club out of administration, thus saving our long and proud heritage for future generations," said Clapton on the club's official website.
"It has been a long and worrying past three years as the future of our football club hung in the balance, but now with us exiting administration we can look forward to a brighter future."
Supporters trust president Arfon Griffiths, a former Wrexham manager, has been appointed club president following the developments at the Racecourse Ground.

Great news for the club and fans, hopefully they can concentrate 100% on that push for promotion now.
