Mancini - nor adriano exit |
|
Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini insists there hasn't been a split with Adriano.
The Brazilian superstar was quoted expressing his anger at being left on the bench for the Coppa Italia semifinal victory over Cagliari last week. "It is not true that we had a row," insisted Mancini. "It is possible that a player gets angry when he is left on the bench, but everyone feels like that sometimes. "The real problem here is that at Inter small events are blown up out of all proportion, whereas for instance the argument between Andriy Shevchenko and Carlo Ancelotti was quickly swept under the carpet." Asked about Chelsea's apparent interest in Adriano and a potential £70 million bid, Mancini replied: "Would we sell Adriano for that kind of money? That is a question you should present to patron Massimo Moratti and President Giacinto Facchetti. "Adriano is an Inter player and has a contract with this club. It's true that anything can happen in football, but I doubt that it'd be the case here." |
