Barcelona fullback Gianluca Zambrotta has been given an early dose of the rivalry that exists with Espanyol in the city.

Upon return from the USA, Zambrotta was seeking a taxi after missing the Barcelona club bus from the city airport and approached a driver, only to be refused service!

"I am an Espanyol fan," declared the cabbie. "Therefore, I will not consider having Barcelona players in my taxi!"

Both Zambrotta and Lilian Thuram had missed the club bus after getting lost in the unfamiliar surroundings of the local airport.

Yes the taxi driver has said that Zambrotta has been arrogant. Always Espanyol fans that are jelous.

I heard He said: "Hey you, I'm a Barcelona player, you better take me wherever I say". That's arrogant I think.

What Barça should do is show a banner in the next game at Camp Nou with a big pic of the taxi driver and with the message: 'Barça fans, don't use the service of the taxi with this taxi driver'

Then when he saw that he didn't earn a lot of money he would understand how stupid he was.
