Brazilian striker Cristiano appears poised to end his association with Roda JC, after the Dutch club agreed a fee for the marksman with Swiss side FC Basel.
Cristiano has been on Roda's books for some four seasons now, having moved from NAC Breda in 2002, and he has proved to be a consistent scorer during his time in Kerkrade.
He informed the club over the summer that he fancied a new challenge, having been told by coach Huub Stevens that he would not be a regular starter in the new campaign, and Basel came in with an offer during the week.
Roda accepted the offer and this has allowed Cristiano to enter into talks with the Swiss side.
Basel are expected to offer the 25-year-old a three-year contract, with the deal set to be wrapped up next week.
