** NEW ** Proposed N E Essex branch of the Arsenal Supporters Club ** NEW **
Hi fellow Gooners! First, a bit about myself: - “I’m a lifelong Arsenal Supporter, living in Colchester. I hold Silver & Red memberships & I’m on the Season ticket waiting list” It’s the dreaded close season I know, but what better time than now to vamp up interest ready for the new season! Just in case you didn’t see the advert in last season’s the PL programme v Blackburn. I am forming a North East Essex branch of the Arsenal Supporter’s Club. Why? Well, there’s quite a few of us Gooner's out this way, with many travelling regularly to matches via car, train etc. So, a demand is definitely there for an AFSC branch of our own. The idea is to create a community for us Arsenal fans from likes of Chelmsford, Colchester, Halstead, Maldon, Clacton, Braintree, Gt Dunmow, Witham, Saffron Walden & their surrounding smaller towns/villages too of course! Some of the benefits achievable through membership, could be; • Increased chance of getting a match day ticket • Travel to away games • Concession on Arsenal merchandise • Family fun days, outings etc • Links with other AFSC branches & Arsenal groups • Regular Club Meetings • Online discussions • Competitions • And anything else you as members can come up with! But, we need to be officially approved by Arsenal. And before this can happen we need at least 50 members (currently standing at 26!) nb At present there are more males than females that have expressed an interest in joining (though we do have a good mix of ages, some kids too and a few couples!). But i think football today has a good mix of both male & female fans at games. Thus my reason for posting on here. So, come on! Why not ‘stand up for the Arsenal’ and start off by registering an interest in becoming a member of The N E Essex Arsenal Supporters Club, by simply sending me an email, to me at: chasethecheetah@hotmail.com nb You'll need to copy & paste the above email address into the 'to' field in your email window, as i can't see where on the site i can make an email address into a link! sorry I’ll then reply with an acknowledgement and a bit more details.
