Swindon went 2-0 at home to Brentford and come back to 2-2 through Andy Nicholas' header from a Ricky Shakes corner and Paul Evans' long range strike. It remained 2-2 after extra time and the match went to penalties. Paul Evans score Swindons first, Sam Tillen missed Brentfords first then after Jerel Ifil scored his penalty it all wnt pear shaped for Town, Curtis Weston blazed his over the bar and into the Town End and Ashan Holgate had his saved by Bees keeper Stuart Nelson. Jack Smith scored his penalty but Stuart Nelson scored the winning penalty to make it 4-3 on pens to Brentford. To make matters worse Town had Royce Brownlie send off on 120 minutes after sarcastically applauding the referee for booking him. He now sits a one match ban.
