Slavia Prague and Spurs will play each other in the UEFA Cup 1st round. The winners will go into the group stages. I have faith in the yids and believe we will go through.

Glad we are playing away first, get the tough one out of the way and if we manage to come away with a scoring draw or even a lead we should be laughing.
___
Heres what Jol has to say about Prague:“They play in a 4-4-2, they have good strikers, one is on the fringe of the national team and the other scored a couple of goals and is a very good header of the ball.

“They have a good left winger, the captain in midfield is experienced and at the back Martin Latka who was at Birmingham last season, he looked comfortable on the ball. In short, they have a decent side who play for each other.”

Chris added: “They looked reasonably comfortable. They had quality across midfield and in offensive areas and didn’t move too much away from that 4-4-2 system.

“They are all accomplished players on the ball and you get the feeling that they are a side good enough to raise their game on the big occasions. They also have experience of playing in European competition on a regular basis. We will look at them again before we play them and it won’t be an easy game, that’s for sure.”

___
They arent taking them lightly which is good, but with Kingy back I am confident we will do em!

look what i found on the slavia prague home page

“We could not have been drawn against strongest opponent,“ Slavia coach Karel Jarolim said.“I wished to play against Groningen, Xanthi or Sion, our chances to qualify would have been greater. We are certainly not going to be favourites of this tie"

would u hear martin jol say somthing like this?

i dont think so!!

I suppose that comment it just to give his players no pressure. Let them play with the "nothing to lose" attitude.

Hes talking about the match in Prague on Thursday West Ham fan, a few other costs involved apart from the tenner for the ticket.

I sense there is going to be a bit of trouble in Prague this week, their ultras look like nutcases ->clicky

Spurs lineup from ITK source travelling with te team:

___________Robbo________

Chimmy__King__Daws__Ekotto

Jenas__The Hudd__Zokora__Ziegler

________Defoe____Mido_____

Looks solid to me, great to see Huddlestone getting a game, Ziegler will give us some shape and allow Ekotto to plow forward.

I can not see Davids being left out by Jol. He worships the ground he walks on and Tainio will surely play ahead of Ziegler.

LINE UPS
Slavia Prague: Vorel, Hubacek, Svec, Latka, Vlcek, Botelho, Janda, Suchy, Svento, Jarolim, Hrdlicka. Subs: Kozacik, Dodoudil, Gecov, Fort, Necas, Necid, Aracic.

Robinson, Chimbonda, Assou-Ekotto, King, Dawson, Zokora, Huddlestone, Jenas, Tainio, Defoe, Mido. Subs: Cerny, Stalteri, Lee, Ziegler, Davids, Keane, Davenport.

Looks like Davids was dropped but I was right about Tainio instead of Ziegler. Looks like Lennon and Berbatov both failed fitness tests then.

Zokora played exceptionally well tonight. Man of the match in my opinion. Great debut for Huddlestone, he played really well. Shame Keane didn't double our lead late on but a fantastic result nonetheless.

Been hearing of stories from people there and apparently Yids owned the town, no trouble too which is good news. Local girl at match kindly obliged to the 'get your tits out' song (vid coming soon)

I hope we play the same midfield for the whole time Lennon i out, the Hudd and Zokora in the middle was immense!

Chimmy looks fantastic too, its like having another Ledley out there at fullback. Very Happy

Our defense is looking solid as a rock!

I agree, stick with the midfield. Davids should not be given his place back, he is an old man and Huddlestone showed him how it was done last night.
