Lions quash boss speculation

Millwall chairman Jeff Burnige says there is no truth in the speculation linking various names with the managerial vacancy at The Den.
Burnidge told the club's website: "I am hopeful that an appointment will be made and announced later this week.

"However, I would repeat that much of what has been seen in the papers is the result of other people's interests and not that of Millwall."

Newspaper reports have linked Brentford boss Martin Allen with the position.
