Celtic boss Martin O'Neill has had a secret meeting with his successor Gordon Strachan.
The Daily Record says the announcement of O'Neill's decision to step down and devote himself to wife Geraldine as she battles cancer will be made today to the Stock Exchange. O'Neill will then explain his decision at a Celtic Park press conference.
John Robertson and Steve Walford, O'Neill's assistants for the last five years, will also be going from the club. And last night it emerged that former Celtic striker Mark McGhee could be considered as a No.2 to Strachan.
McGhee is currently with Brighton but would jump at the chance to rejoin his former Aberdeen team-mate at Celtic Park.
The new Celtic manager won't take up his responsibilities until after O'Neill has guided Celtic through Saturday's Scottish Cup Final against Dundee United.
