Sutton United Girls FC have again set the tone of their intentions for the coming 2009/10 season by unleashing an unbeaten start to their first of many pre-season tournament warm ups by winning over the weekend at Boldmere FC’s annual 5 a-side gathering at GOALS in Perry Barr. Sutton were not hindered by not having a regular goalkeeper available on the day and put their squad of all outfield players in rotation to give all of the team a run out and regain the winners trophy for the second year in succession and without losing a match en-route to the final which the club also won at under 14’s level at last years event. All players performing on the day for the Sutton winning side was made up from 6 of their youngest squad members who will be making up for half of the coming seasons under 16’s squad.
