Alessandro del Piero has pledged his future to Juventus.
"I'll start the new season right here and I'll do so with the tricolore shield stitched to my shirt yet again," he told his official website.
Despite his difficulties, Del Piero has been an important member of the side in their battle with Milan for the title.
"We've now won 28 championships and I've got six of them, it is hard to describe the joy that I am feeling," he continued.
"It was a tough season, hard fought, tiring and long. This Scudetto is a reward for all of us as we kept battling when it would have been easier to just give up.
"We crossed the finishing line by remaining at the top of the table from start to finish. It may seem as if it was easy but it wasn't.
"To remain first for 37 weeks requires a great deal of concentration, determination, belief and a great squad spirit."
