Helguera approached by Juve

Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera has confirmed he's been contacted by Juventus about next season.

The Spanish international first came through at Real under Juve coach Fabio Capello and was the subject of an inquiry from the club's director general, Luciano Moggi, last week.

"I am very happy here," Helguera explained. "I would have accepted the offers that arrived from Italy if I wasn't. I am negotiating to renew my contract with Real and this is my priority."

Helguera's current deal expires at the end of next season.
