Torquay United manager Ian Atkins has handed a trial to the club's former midfielder Bruno Meireilles.
Meireilles played 10 games for The Gulls in the 2004/05 League One campaign under former boss Leroy Rosenior.
The 24-year-old has returned to Plainmoor this week in a bid to earn a contract with the League Two club.
Atkins, meanwhile, has mixed injury news ahead of Saturday's visit to in-form Bury, who have won each of their last three games.
Craig Taylor and Kevin Hill are expected to be fit, while Steve Woods has a good chance of recovering from his back problem.
