Bees set Kandol value |
|
Paul Fairclough has warned suitors of Tresor Kandol that the Barnet striker will cost at least £200,000.
Kandol was in demand prior to the close of the transfer window, with Brighton & Hove Albion having a £150,000 offer rejected. Bees boss Fairclough has a valuation in mind for the 26-year-old and is adamant Kandol will not be sold for less than he is worth. "When I was manager of Stevenage in 1997, I sold Barry Hayles to Bristol Rovers for £200,000 and we were in The Conference," said Fairclough. "So that should provide people with a yardstick. "And let's not forget, we paid £50,000 ourselves to sign Tresor." Kandol joined Barnet in January from Dagenham & Redbridge, but his Bees career was interrupted after serving a prison sentence for driving offences. He has returned to action in fine form and has scored three goals this season, including a brace which knocked Cardiff City out of the Carling Cup. Fairclough added: "He is very mobile and has a great touch, even though he is so tall. He has an all-round game and will be a big player for us this season." |
