New Valencia sports director Javier Subirats has called off the signing of
Liverpool striker Milan Baros.
Valencia had agreed a £7 million fee with
Liverpool for the Czech Republic international, who had settled personal terms with the Spanish club in late March.
But Subirats, who was only appointed sports director last week, called off the transfer on Tuesday after meeting with president Juan Soler and director Eduardo Macia.
Subirats simply doesn't rate Baros, particularly for the fee that was agreed, and believes Valencia can use their money better elsewhere.
