Villarreal goalkeeper Pepe Reina has admitted he is on his way to European champions
Liverpool.
Reina, 22, said: "I can no longer deny that I am close to signing for
Liverpool.
"The deal between the two clubs needs to be finalised but it's likely that it will be closed very soon.
"The club will get a good cash injection for selling me. To be able to sign for the current champions of Europe and a team like
Liverpool is special."
Liverpool are expected to shell out around £6 million for the Spanish prospect.
