All amazing players mentioned and the next generation of superstars
Me being a boro fan i think our youth system is thriving at the moment, i'm not saying they are going to be world class superstars but they are worth keeping an eye on.. Tony McMahon, the 18 year old right back stepped in for the injured reiziger and proved he is a fantastic prospect - and i think the majority of us smoggies would like to see McMahon ahead of reiziger anyday! Stuart Downing, 20, You've all heard the hype and he defo deserved it but he failed to live up to the hype towards the end of last season mainly because the boro relied on him to much but he is a fantastic crosser of the ball and a natural winger. James Morrison, 19, his goals in the UEFA Cup were so valuable ( 3 goals in 5 appearences) and he's proved that he can peform in europe and the premiership at such a young age, for me he is the most promising of the Boro youth Matthew Bates, 18 year old centre back spent a period on loan at Darlington and excelled recieving praise and a few man of the matches awards, only had a handful of sub appearences for the first team but is a great great prospect ( I've known his brother since i was about 4 year old lol so i had to mention him) Ok may not be any Rooneys, ronaldos, robinho's etc. but i'd thought i'd bore you anyway inabit |
