Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has dismissed critics who say his progress has stalled.

"I do not have anything to say about this," said Casillas. "I attempt to do my best and I am the first to demand the most from myself.

"I am happy with my development and with me. I have been here many years and, despite what is said, the first critic of me is me. While my conscience is calm, the others are secondary.

"I have had a constant progression, I continue having it. I'm still to reach my best. Each season I am better, but we have not won anything lately. If we had won something they would speak less of me.

"The constant change of coaches has been very difficult. We have not had stability. This year the change is that we will have stability, we are going to be together for many years and things will work out well."
