Fabio Capello concedes his Real Madrid side were found wanting in every department during their first half performance at Lyon.
The French champions scored twice in a one-sided first period and it was enough to see Gerard Houllier's side home to a 2-0 win in UEFA Champions League Group E. Capello was particularly concerned with some of his side's defending, but the Italian has stressed he is still in the midst of a major rebuilding job at El Bernabeu. "Lyon were superior to us technically and physically in the first 45 minutes," said Capello. "They created many chances to score and we were a bit weak in defence. "There is still a lot of re-building work to do. We must keep believing in our ability. We are going to improve soon." |
