Liverpool chief Rick Parry says the board will back manager Rafa Benitez's summer spending plans.
Parry declared: "Being European champions will help enormously in persuading new players to come and there is no way that we will be resting on our laurels. "There is rebuilding to do as, however magnificent it was to beat Milan, it doesn't take away from the fact that we fell short in the Premier League. It's a real priority for us to get that right. "We've got a plan and we're working on it. There's a very long list of players that we're refining downwards. "Rafa and I have been talking every day for the last week and more, even on the morning after the final. We know what we'd like to do and we will look to get there." Parry added: "We were looking for a young, hungry, ambitious coach with a track of record of success in major competitions and he fitted that bill perfectly. "We've got there rather more quickly than we even imagined when we hired Rafa, but we're delighted for him as he deserves his success. We never had any doubts that he was the right man." |

He needs money, to build a Premiership side. As I have said he has a CL team and not a Prem team. He needs to get a team that can play both styles.

He has been given money and players will always want to go to the European Champions.
