I'm not going, went to the away fixture last season though.
I would put Collins in for Anton Ferdinand. While I don't think that he's been particularly bad, I think the two centre backs need shaking up a little and to be shown that they aint guaranteed a starting spot. Collins was sensational in his last appearance at the City of Manchester stadium in our FA Cup quarter final win and would bring a dominant head to the backline. You would hope that this would make us less vunerable at set-pieces. I would start Reo-Coker and Mullins in midfield together. I very much feel we need to get back to basics at the moment. Benayoun on the left, Harewood on the right. I simply do not think Etherington is fit enough to start games. I'd then partner Carlton Cole with Zamora. I would also think about replacing Konchesky with Spector because to put it frank, he's been [beep!]. I might be tempted in giving Green getting a go but perhaps would leave that to a home game. For me then... Carroll Mears - Collins - Gabbidon - Spector Harewood - Mullins - Reo-Coker - Benayoun Cole - Zamora Subs: Green, Ferdinand, Mascherano, Tevez, Etherington My prediction: Another loss. We'd normally be expected to get something from an almost permanently out-of-sorts team, but I can see the rut continuing. |
